Introducing, Elizabeth Dadson , owner of the award winning, Aquavie Boutique Spa in Tonbridge and now our brand new guest blogger. Elizabeth has over 14 year experience working in the beauty industry as well as being a successful freelance beauty journalist. Can DermaQuest really turn back the beauty clock?

When Sally visited my spa last week she was tired, slightly stressed and quite obviously in search of something that would give her self confidence a well needed boost.

During her consultation I learned that Sally is a 42 year old mum of three who lives in Kent, with her husband and slightly crazy dog Bentley (the Yorkshire terrier that has tiny dog syndrome).  She works full time as a communications officer for one of London’s front line emergency services, a job which involves long hours, high stress levels and unsociable shifts.   She is also currently having extensive building work completed on her house and feels she never has the time to totally relax and rejuvenate.  Sally thinks her demanding lifestyle and years of shift work has finally taken a real toll on her skin, in fact she confessed she feels as if she has aged considerably in the last five years, in her words it’s ‘as if she has lost her sparkle’.

Does Sally’s story sound familiar to you? In my professional role as a skincare expert I hear things like this every day.  Generally when women are unhappy with their physical appearance, it can begin to affect them on a much deeper emotional level too.  As a woman I have been there myself, we may start to lack confidence, or begin to compare ourselves to friends.  It may affect our personal relationships or even how we see see ourselves within our working role, over the years I have heard it all, the list is endless.
